Jesus never excluded anyone. In fact, he chose to spend time with people who were on the margins of society and excluded by others. People who felt they didn’t belong.
As a church, we promote inclusivity, welcome diversity and respect different views. Everyone is welcome to worship with us or take part in our activities.
We come from a variety of backgrounds, cultures, countries, and traditions, and we have a wide range of theological and progressive views.
We see ourselves as travellers on a journey of faith, who do not have to agree on all aspects of Christian belief, but who are all learning. We promote an atmosphere of acceptance and humility as we learn about Christ. We seek out and celebrate the things that unite us, and respect each other’s different viewpoints.
We also run events where people can be involved and benefit from being part of our community who wouldn't normally come to church.

We are accepting and affirming of the LGBTQ+ community.
In October 2021, after seven months of prayer, Bible study, reflection and dialogue, Windsor Baptist Church passed two resolutions at its church meeting:
- The Windsor Baptist Church Community is committed to walking together as the people of God in a way that is inclusive of people who are LGBTQ+. People who are LGBTQ+ shall have full rights and responsibilities of fellowship, participation, membership and leadership in the life of this church, their lives and relationships of love and faithfulness celebrated.
- This church agrees to apply to the superintendent registrar of the Windsor Registration District that the Windsor Baptist Church building be registered for the solemnization of marriages of same sex couples.
We are very aware that many of our friends in the Rainbow community will have had difficult experiences of church life. We would love the opportunity to welcome you and walk with you, learning from you along the way. We are not perfect, but we have a heart for inclusion, and you are warmly invited to share life with us. If you would like a chat with Kat, our minister, about any of this, please do fill in the contact form. We would also love to hear from you if you are interested in holding your wedding in the building.
